animated anlaysis 2 - print out

Firstly, I created a blank canvas on after effects, I used the grid tool to create an 8 by 8 grid. The grid had been placed on its own layer, which I turned to 3d so I would be able to rotate the grid and manipulated it into the form I wanted it to be. I rotated the y axis to have a tilted effect and I wanted it to feel like the grid was the floor, it was important for me to get the dimensions correct as I would next place another image on top of it. Thus, the accuracy had to be correct.  The next step was to change the colour of the grid, I wanted to incorporate a retro colour scheme ,so i adopted a turquoise colour palate. I think this perfectly contrasts with the black backdrop. I decided to use this image  due to the position of the model and how it centres and ground the whole image. Once again i have used the windows alert to cover up the model, to highlighted censorship of the female body. I think creating these animations allowed me to look into how the female body can often come under the surveillance of the climate we live in today and the female body is linked to girlhood and growing. Especially when looking to the Sophia Coppola films the bodies of the girls are used as a means of them growing up and growing into womanhood so that body is an important spect of girlhood and sexuality. i think its important aspect of anyone growing. I wanted to examine this using an abstract, more visually communicative way. I think experimenting with these theme and materials allowed me to look into a clear path of where to and how to approach my final outcome.
