INT. DANCE STUDIO. EARLY EVENING

One those dimly lit studios that seems to go on forever.It's early evening, we see Francias. She's our protagonist , a seventeen year old. She dances in the studio. With her dark hair stuck on her sweaty, warm, rose cheeks. She wears her full dancing costume with the spotlight on her, she dances behind a dark background.

FRANCIAS (V.O)

I had another dream last night.

FRIEND'S VOICE - FEMALE (V.O)

What'd you dream about?

FRANCIAS (V.O)

I don't know. I never look like myself in dreams.

Francias still dances, were still on the dream sequence, the music stops and she makes direct eye contact to the camera.

CUT TO:

INT. DANCE STUDIO. EARLY EVENING

Francias is in the foreground packing up her clothes and items in her bag. She's isolated form the other dancers as they are all in the background packing their stuff. There's sounds of talking and laughter.

CUT TO:

EXT. EVENING

Francias is walking to her house listening to music and eating her lunch.

CUT TO:

Extended long shot face front, she walks to the bus stop, sits down. Close Up- Her face fills the screen, she's eating her lunch, her mouth is full and she's practising her dance moves subtly. She watches buses as they drive by.

CUT TO:

INT. THE HOUSE.

Camera faces the door, she opens the door and walks in.

MOM ( V.O)

Are you having lunch Fi?

FRANCIAS

No, I'm not hungry.

Sh walks in to her room. She throws her bag on her bed and falls back on her bed. Her eyes are shut.

CUT TO:

INT. HER ROOM. LATE EVENING.

Francias walks around her room, starts to take off her sweater, then her jeans. She grabs and places her bag on her lap, takes out the cigarette packet and lights it timidly. The camera locks in on her face as she tries to light it.

FEMME FATAL BY VELVET UNDERGROUND PLAYS

She dances slowly in the room, practising her dance moves smoking her cigarette, taking her time.

SONG

She blows the smoke outside the window. The camera focusing on her face.

CUT TO:

INT. DANCE STUDIO. MORNING

Francias dances passionately looking into the camera. The rest of the class is with but she seems to be dancing to a different tempo. However, she doesn't seem to be bothered by this. Background music playing.

TEACHER

Francias, slow down.. Francias.

Camera focusing on francias. The sic stops and so doesn't everyone. Francias losses attention and turns to the direction of where the music was.

TECAHER

Take 5 everyone.

Francias drinks a bottle of water, glancing around the room unaware of what she has done.

INT. BATHROOM.

Francis faces the mirror in the bathroom as she washes her hands. Another girl from her class comes out of from one of the toilets. Both of the girls face the mirror, tying up their hair. There is not much speech, just silence for a couple of seconds or so.

The camera is behind them, looking at them through the mirror. And then they are facing the mirror - the camera acts as the mirror. - Then the scene ends abruptly.
